Hi, I’m Teri Katzenberger.

Let Me Tell You a Story…

My menstrual cycle has always been a nightmare. During my teen years, PMS made me miserable, while heavy periods and horrible cramps caused me to miss school at least once a month. I would have such severe menstrual pain; I would pass out. Feeling very alone in my adolescent years, I had no one to turn to for help or guidance.  

Although the nightmare subsided after I went on birth control, by my late 30s, the menstrual nightmare began all over again. In fact, I felt worse than ever. The monthly flow was so heavy, it disrupted my life the first 3 days of my cycle. It was border line disabling. I planned activities “around” those “first 3 days”. It has been a very depressing way to live. Had I not been self-employed, I would have definitely missed those first 3 days of work every month.  I was fatigued, depressed, yet I couldn’t sleep at night. By the time I was in my late 40’s my digestion was a mess, and I would look like I was 8 months pregnant from the random bloating. 

Hitting Rock Bottom…

Most people in their late 40’s are enjoying their home, taking vacations, and/or spending quality time with their family and friends. I pray every day for the depression, anxiety, unexpected weight gain, bloating, etc. would become a thing of the past and I would be “ME” again!  

In 2018 I was introduced to a Functional Health Specialist. Although I felt like a hypochondriac, felt like there was no help for me because it was all mental, and “you are just getting older”…  I agreed to go through rounds of tests, including lots of blood work. At this point, I was willing to try anything to find the reason for why I felt so sick, tired and just plain miserable in my body.  I wanted to escape myself.

Although I am grateful throughout the years, that doctor visits and tests always proved I was as healthy as can be always impressing my doctor, I just knew in my soul that I truly wasn’t. I could never accept the outcome of “You are very healthy. There isn’t anything wrong with you.”


But I was definitely NOT fine.

I knew I looked ok. I have always taken fairly great care of myself. However, I felt more tired, run down. Just didn’t feel well from the inside out. I was going on 2+ years of extreme insomnia. When I began to get concerned, was when I looked in the mirror, it was like I was seeing myself for the first time in years.

My hair was thinning, my skin was dull and looked tired. I’d put on 20 pounds in less than 2 years, even though I rarely ate fast food, sweets and I drank 100+ ounces of water every day, and my morning coffee. I moved like I was rundown; no energy, no get up and go, no enthusiasm for life. My eyes had no life in them. I looked as bad as I felt. 

Making a Choice

I didn’t want to continue going through life like that. I had to do something, anything to try and get better. I’d always just done what the doctors told me, but clearly that wasn’t working. I started doing research on my symptoms, especially my awful periods, and I found out that hormone imbalance led to every single symptom I’d been experiencing.

Now that I had an answer, I felt better, but now I wanted to know what to do about it. I wanted a natural way to get better because I was DONE with any prescriptions at this point. They weren’t working and I refused to continue filling them and taking them.

More research showed me the role that food played in my hormone health. Although I already knew that sugar, chemicals, and all the artificial ingredients found in our food, is not healthy for us, it was an eye opener learning it is also what is at the root of hormone imbalance, amongst numerous other factors around food.

I was blessed beyond measure, in 2018, to meet the Specialist in Functional Health for Women. Not only was she impressed that I was so in tune with my body, but she also helped me in ways I never knew was available.

I spent 3 years with her, helping me with hormone health, gut health, balancing my hormones, I began learning everything I could so I could teach others that there IS help!

Not only were certain foods harming my body, but I was forgoing important nutrients and vitamins my body truly needed to thrive!

I decided to toss out all the artificial junk in my house and focus on nourishing my body with what it needs all the days of my life – lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.

What a difference this made!

In just a few weeks, I felt an incredible difference. No more joint pain, I was sleeping better than I had in years, and I didn’t feel bloated or anything else. Even better, the weight that clung to my midsection was going away without having to diet or cut calories. I just focused on nourishing my body and giving it what it needed, and the change was amazing! 


My experience changed my life in wonderful ways, and now, I’m on a path to help others! I want to help you enjoy the hormone health I discovered so you can live a life of joy, energy, and vibrancy.

In order to best help others, I enrolled in Penn Foster University. Receiving my diploma in Fitness & Nutrition. I added to my education, a Medical Fitness Specialization Course. I received a certification specialization diploma as a Menopause Hormone Fitness Specialist.

Since 2005, I have had the passion, experience, and knowledge to help you live a healthy, well, fit, strong, whole life from the inside out. With my continued education, I have the expertise and professionalism to help women maintain healthy hormone balance for good!
